Grocers on Beech
Fred's General Mercantile is about 6 minutes (1.2 miles) from the cabin. At Fred's you can get essentials like milk, eggs, snacks, meat, ice cream and frozen foods, fruit, and veggies. They also have a deli, hardware store, small clothing and shoe dept, ski rental, and sleds and firewood for sale. 

Grocery Stores Nearby
Lowe's Foods of Banner Elk is our go-to grocery store. It's 24 minutes away (10 miles), so we like to shop here on our way to the cabin, since you may pass by this area on your way in. You can also order your groceries for pick-up via the Lowe's Foods app! They are open 6 AM to midnight. 

Food Lion of Sugar Mountain / Banner Elk is a little closer to the cabin. It's 20 minutes away (9 miles). They are open 7 AM to 11 PM. ​

Restaurants on Beech Mountain 
Fred's Backside Deli is a breakfast and lunch staple. 
Famous Brick Over Pizzeria is the go-to pizza place— they also have a great beer selection, ice cream and treats, a small arcade, and mini golf. 
Mi Jalisco offers authentic Mexican food on the mountain.  
Holy Smokes BBQ at White Wolf Lodge has pulled pork, homemade fudge, and 26 flavors of homemade ice cream.

Restaurants in Banner Elk 
Most of our favorite places to eat are just off the mountain in Banner Elk. We love everything we've every eaten at Louisiana Purchase, enjoy the easy atmosphere of Sorrento's. We absolutely love the Thai food and sushi from Luna, right near Lowe's Foods.
